We remember Ollie from our salon family who crossed over the rainbow bridge in the month of July.

July was a busy month at Pawsitively Purrfect!

We were delighted to welcome a fantastic variety of pets through our salon doors.

From beautiful Australian Shepherds and striking Siberian Huskies to stylish Kerry Blue Terriers and fluffy Ragdolls, every pet brought their own unique personality, coat type, and grooming needs.

We also welcomed some of our smaller furry friends, including Guinea Pigs and Rabbits, proving that no two days in the salon are ever the same.

Top Tip of the Month

Well, it looks like the annual Scottish summer has come to an end. Those two glorious weeks of sunshine were nice while they lasted…

Now it’s time to prepare ourselves (and the dogs) for what’s ahead.

Keep up with regular grooming appointments – a well-maintained coat helps keep your dog comfortable through the colder, wetter months.

  • Check paws after walks – mud, grit and soggy leaves seem determined to follow us home.
  • Don’t forget those nail trims – slippery pavements and overgrown nails aren’t the best combination.
  • Keep a towel by the door at all times. Trust us on this one.
  • Practise your “leave it” command now, before your dog discovers every muddy puddle in Inverclyde.

The good news?

No more overheating on walks.

No more trying to sleep in a house that’s somehow hotter than Spain.

And for the next few months at least… no midgies.

We’ll call that a win.

Breed of the Month

Our July Breed of the Month was the Cockapoo. A delightful mix of the Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, Cockapoos are loved for their friendly personalities, intelligence, and affectionate nature. Their coats can range from soft waves to tight curls, making each Cockapoo uniquely adorable while also helping to reduce shedding.

Fun Fact: Cockapoos are one of the oldest designer dog breeds and were first intentionally bred in the 1960s, long before “designer dogs” became popular!

We loved meeting 15 wonderful new furry friends in July! 🐾 We are so happy to welcome them into the Pawsitively Purrfect family.
